The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (KC) engaged AMS Planning & Research to craft a planning framework for programming and operations of the campus expansion.
AMS guided KC leadership through a process which aligned the organization’s strategic plan goals, the nature and design of the spaces, and a shared definition of success for the expansion. From this work, AMS developed activity typologies based on program aspirations and exemplar research.
While multiple scenarios of activity would fulfill the strategic vision for the expansion, AMS provided operating recommendations for and modeled the financial implications of a scenario which responded to and respects the KC leadership’s priorities while driving to institutional success.
