AMS Welcomes New Fellow Gregory Keng Strasser

AMS is pleased to welcome our new fellow, Gregory Keng Strasser. Gregory’s term with AMS will begin in October and close at the end of December.

In addition to Gregory’s fellowship with AMS,  he helps lead the 2020 Helen Hayes award winning theatre, 4615 Theatre Company, as its producing director. He has also served as the 2020 Allen Lee Hughes Directing Fellow at Arena Stage.

A prolific arts leader, director, and writer, his creative work has spanned the globe in cities including Bangkok, Thailand; Bali, Indonesia; Holstebro, Denmark; New York City, Los Angeles; Washington DC; and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Gregory holds a BFA from the University of Michigan and was a part of the 2019 Cohabitation Cohort at Odin Teatret. He speaks Chinese fluently.

AMS’s first-in-the-field program was initiated to help support and escalate involvement of individuals from groups that have been underrepresented in the arts and culture consulting field. Fellowships are intended to provide practical training and play a role in nurturing leadership by expanding and fostering inclusiveness within the discipline of arts and culture consulting.

Program participants will be mentored by recognized sector leaders and engage in valuable training and dialogue with a professional staff that collectively has decades of expertise in the arts and culture arena. Experience at AMS may play a role in providing a competitive advantage when fellows who have been engaged in the program are looking for employment in the arts and culture sector.

Arts, culture and entertainment is our business.
