Please join the AMS team in welcoming our newest Lynette A. Turner Pathways to Consulting Fellow Lynne Ombati. Lynne will be joining our team from June 16 to September 5, 2025.
Lynne is an arts administrator with an MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University’s O’Neill School and a Bachelors in Music from Kabarak University, Kenya.
Lynne has worked as a graduate assistant for Indiana University’s Arts Administration Programs, and as a summer fundraising intern at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. She also co-founded and facilitated the “Decoding Arts Administration” webinar series for professionals in the United States and Kenya, and the inaugural Honors Concert for Kabarak University. She was a co-author to Wolf Trap’s article on their artist residency in Kenya in collaboration with Kenya Connect. Lynne is passionate about improving access to artistic experiences and broadening representation in arts administration conversations and practice. She is excited to learn and contribute to AMS’s mission in her new role as the Lynette A. Turner Pathways to Consulting Fellow.
AMS’s first-in-the-field program was initiated in 2019 to help support and escalate involvement of individuals from groups that have been underrepresented in the arts and culture consulting field. Fellowships are intended to provide practical training and play a role in nurturing leadership by expanding and fostering inclusiveness within the discipline of arts and culture consulting.
Program participants will be mentored by recognized sector leaders and engage in valuable training and dialogue with a professional staff that collectively has decades of expertise in the arts and culture arena. Experience at AMS may play a role in providing a competitive advantage when fellows who have been engaged in the program are looking for employment in the arts and culture sector.
