The Calgary City Council approves funding for Arts Commons’ expansion. The Arts Commons Transformation (ACT) is a multi-phased project expected to increase the Arts Commons footprint by 50 percent, renovate its existing facilities, and further develop the surrounding areas.
AMS was engaged to conduct an independent review of business case assumptions and outcomes for the ACT first phase. We reviewed projected activity and resulting financial and personnel impacts of the new facilities. AMS compared Arts Commons’ existing operations and proposed business case against a set of benchmark organizations across Canada and the US, and received input from local stakeholders and potential users of the anticipated new facility.
