What drew you to the arts?

My arts experience began through a ballet folklorico class at age 6 where I learned to embrace my Mexican heritage. I also explored acting and theatrical design in high school and in college.

What drew you to Arts Administration?

As an adult, I recognized the positive impact that the arts had on my own life which led me to pursue a Master in Arts Management at Carnegie Mellon University. At CMU, I learned to leverage technology and research to mobilize arts organizations for the future.

What is your focus within Arts Administration?

My focuses within Arts Administration are fundraising, CRM administration, and advocacy.

How do you incorporate EDIA into your work life?

Coming from the narrative arts, EDIA to me is when all our stories can be told. When we tell our stories, we share experiences and allow room for learning, empathy, and thoughtfulness towards each other. Empowering anyone to tell their story is a mission that I strive towards everyday professionally and personally.

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy hiking and cooking. I’m also a movie buff and taco connoisseur.

Arts, culture and entertainment is our business.
