Lansing Arts Commission Accepts PAC Plan

AMS’s final recommendations for the implementation of a performing arts center in Lansing, MI have been passed to the Mayor for further action.  AMS was engaged by the City to assess the opportunity for the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and the Capital City Film Festival to be year-round players in programming a potential new venue, along with the possibility of creating spaces for Lansing’s Public Media Center and Lansing Art Gallery.  AMS shepherded the process to assist the City of Lansing’s Arts Commission in defining success for a new venue. The AMS team further conducted a feasibility study; meeting with key stakeholders, conducting market research and providing an economic impact analysis to inform the design of physical spaces, as well as operating and financial criteria. Once implemented, the new center would serve as an anchor for community revitalization.
