AMS Congratulates CAPA and Shubert New Haven, New Executive Director, Anthony McDonald

The AMS team is pleased to congratulate incoming Executive Director, Anthony McDonald on his new role. AMS Planning & Research facilitated a search process for the next Executive Director of the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, a partner of the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA). Working with a transition committee of Shubert Theatre and CAPA Board members as well as City of New Haven representatives, AMS tapped a wide and diverse set of networks to bring dozens of qualified candidates forward for consideration. Acknowledging the dynamic changes underway in New Haven’s cultural sector, the AMS team and the transition committee recognized the opportunity to broaden the Shubert’s impact and role as an “anchor cultural institution” by establishing a set of strategic imperatives that would guide the committee’s work, enabling an inclusive and productive process which will serve the sector and the New Haven region.
